Training Your Dog to be a Good Car Companion

2.) Slowly train your dog to understand that the car is nothing to be afraid of. Train the dog to get in the car by giving it treats when it gets in the car without resistance.

3.) Drive slowly and ride with the windows down so the dog is comfortable.

4.) Drive the dog around in the car on a regular basis so it gets used to rides. Once the dog understands that riding in the car is nothing to be afraid of, it will be more inclined to travel.
