As Americans are increasingly looking for complementary and alternative therapies such as acupuncture and massage, hospitals and medical professionals are looking to tap in to this seemingly expanding market.

According to a recent survey published in The Los Angeles Times and conducted by the American Hospital Association and the Samueli Institute, 42% of the hospitals surveyed offer at least one therapy an increase from a previous survey conducted five years earlier.
